I might do this because that buzzer bugs the hell out of me. Even better would be to upload a ringtone to your ICU! Have it play 'who let the dogs out' or something when your door is ajar Maybe some michael bolton or something...

TAKE THE KEY OUT OF THE IGNITION!
then the door beep doesn't sound simple as that.
Or ever so slightly pull the key out of the ignition just a little bit and the beeper stops then also

Hey guys, i've killed this anoying bip with a simple solution...
how the car know that the key is in the ignition? with a switch unther the key hole.
just take of the 3 screws under the stering wheel, and you will see the black swich near the key role, just unscrew this swich and leave him out the correct place, done! no more anoying beeeepp
sorry for the bad english, it's been a long time that i don't pratice it....

or... just pull back the rear side panel, and unplug the switch... its just a pigtail connector... wrap with electrical tape as to not ground itself to the chassis... problem solved... unless your me and you have issues that **** you off so bad you wanna yank out wires everywhich way because you like the sound but the car will beep even though your keys are OUT of the ignition (i.e.: anytime the door is open) and it bugs the F**K out of you when trying to work on the car with the door open, like when working under the dash to try and figure out why its doing so... then no, problem NOT f**king solved... but if youre not me, then yes, problem solved...

I took out my interior lights fuse in my EG and it stopped both my dome light and door beeper from working. Realized how much I needed my dome light though and put it back in..

This four-year-old post really helped me out! Thanks slowexcoupe!
The buzzer on my 1995 Civic Si had been hyperactive over the past several months and was driving me crazy. It would buzz when it should be quiet. I looked for the blue wire mentioned by another post but, contrary to the post, cutting that wire would have been way more work because the wires are extremely difficult to get to.
I didn't even have to move the fuse panel. I just reached behind it and pulled out the circuit board module and soldered out the buzzer. Now it's nice and quiet
Thanks again slowexcoupe!

All I did was unplug the switch on the inside driver side door frame. Just take off rubber cover that is covering the switch by just pulling on it and then take out the phillips head screw that mounts the switch to the frame, then just pull the switch out to unplug it. Then you want to put the rubber cover back on the lower half of the switch before you screw it back in so the cover will mount correctly and then no more beeping (as long as you didnt plug the wire back into the switch when reinstalling lol.) Should take about 20 seconds to complete the job, enjoy everyone.

So you then disable the dome light? Sounds like trading one annoyance for another. Not to mention there is no beeper for headlights in a 92-95 unless you did the "Deschlong headlight mod"

I don't understand how...could've sworn that if u don't turn them off, u get the annoying beep, but if u proceed and close your door &lock the vehicle, the headlights will turn off after about 30 seconds anyway. Now u have me wondering if that is the case or not.

Thanks for this. I was able to remove the piezo from my 1993 Ferio SiR that was extremely annoying. I don't know if the JDM cars beep without the key normally or my ignition switch is bad, but it beeped whenever I opened the door. In addition the beep was at a super fast frequency sounding like a smoke alarm. Anyway, removed the piezo and it's really quiet and nice now.

Are you able to start your own thread? Full car information would be helpful.

Re: HOW TO: Remove the key in ignition/headlights on warning beeper.
Why? Because my husband turned on an automatic headlight feature (somehow) and that annoying, continual, aggravating beeps happens whenever you open the door until you either close the door or put the key in the ignition and turn it on, or get out of the car and close the door. The noise is driving me nuts! I just wish that there was an easier way, like drilling thru the cover and destroying the little speaker!
