How long do ACT HDSS Clutches last?
Well, I'm trying to figure out if its time for my clutch to be replaced. I have had my ACT HDSS clutch for about 55,000 miles now. This is with probably with 150+ launches at the track, daily driven, and beat to hell. The last time I looked at it, probably 10,000 miles ago, it looked pretty good still, but the last few times at the track, when I do a 2nd gear waterbox burnout, I can smell it slipping/roasting. So, how long do these usually (supposed) to last? Any ideas?

they are awesome. i know that the xtreme duty ones last forever. im not sure about the heavy duty. they should last longer than a stock clutch though.

55k is about what you would expect out of it. That is just a little more than i got.
You may be able to re-use the pressure plate. If you are on a budget. I have heard of a bunch of people doing that. Steve from sgt racing has reused one, had good results. Hit him up for some info he is super helpful. He is a member here.
