How to Jack a Civic!

How to Jack a Civic!
Hey guys I have a couple of questions regarding safe ways to jack up a civic for maintenance. I know this may seem silly but i would like to know the proper way. My car is a 99 Civic Si but I'm pretty sure its the same on most civics if not most cars. I know you can you jack it up from the tabs on the left and right side of the car, right under the doors. What about in the very front of the car the two pieces coming down on the left and the right. Im pretty sure there tow hooks but is it safe to put a jack there? Also how would you jack up the rear? Can you put the jack on the hook under the bumper? What if you wanted to only lift the left rear or right rear? Does the rear have points on the sides or only in the middle if you understand what im saying.
Now heres where i get confused lol. I wanna jack my car up to do the clutch and all but if i jack it up on the sides where do i put the jack stands? The jack is already on the side and the stand would not fit next to it i dont think, and another location wouldnt be as good. Where do you jack and where do you put the jackstands if you wanna lift the whole front off?
Also I have a jack and jack stands. The minimum height for the jackstands is roughly 13 inches and the jack can max out at 15 inches(its a small craftsman jack) Is that to high to jack the car(15 inches)? I heard a civic is a uni body and if you jack it to high it will bend the frame. Any truth to this? Is it safe to jack a civic 15 inches? What is the max level you can lift the civic?
I know there are a lot of questions but thanks for being patient and hopefully you guys can help me out!

just jack up your car from the front core support and put jack stands on the jack points on both sides of the car. you can also jack the car up in the rear at the tow hook. for added security, when i put jack stands on both sides of the car, i always leave the floor jack in place on the front of the car.

once you get it in the air you will see under the car behind the doors there will be places that look like square tubes you can put your stands there and it will hold it up just fine. oh and it would take alot to bend the frame by jacking it up

HELL NO! Honestly, I wouldn't ever lift a car up on the core support or the front jack point. I did it once and my hood is all fucked up now. It sits higher than the fenders and it looks like it is popped.
Just jack it up behind the jack points then put the stands where the jack points are. I've done that on my car, my friends car, his mom's car, and many other cars and nothing has happened. However, he did **** up once and put the jack on his rear trailing arm, it fell and bent it. Ask him about it. I was sitting in the car when he did it. Not fun.
So, in the front put the jack behind the jack points, in the rear, in front. Just be sure to jack the front up first then move to the rear.
Oh, your title was kinda funky, I thought you wanted to know how to steal a civic.

I jack the front of my car using the jack point on the core support, but only when its not super hot outside. I saw a friends car bend when it was real hot outside.
As for lifting the rear up one side at a time, i pretty much just use the front jack points for everything, I ve lifted the civ damn near on its side and no ill effects.

I jack up the front using that lump of metal that sticks down though the plastic, a little off center. But my dad got a shitty cheap *** jack that doesnt jack up much so I have to get creative to get the jack stands in.

there is a metal tab on the core support where you jack up the car from the front. If you look under the bumper, slightly off set from the center towards the driver side, you will see a rectangular piece of metal - that's where you place the jack.
don't put the jackstands too far back on the fram or the rails can bend, if you look at the frame rails, it's pretty obvious where the metal is stronger for placement of jack stands.

I Jack mine up from the front tow hooks to get the front jackstands in...
Awhile back I tryed to jack it up from the core support (at the jack point) and it started giving in so I decided not to and started using the tow hooks.

CORRECT I use a 3ton jack from the front core support where it's reinforced. it's where the helms manual says to jack the front of your car up. if you don't leave your car on it and support the car by the jacking points behind the front wheels, your frame should not bend. if you try to jack or support your car from the frame rails, they will dent

i did that on my accord and now the hook is bent....
the helms also says that you can jack up the rear of the car by the tow hook in towards the middle, on the spare tire well

Re: (Del_Slowest)
I didn't mean it would bend the frame; just the rails potentially getting bent/dented, whatever....

I use the tow hooks or the center mounting point. Either spot works just fine. From the rear I always use the center tow hook.

I just have my gigantic friend lift the car up while I slide the jack stands under there.
Christ people. This is like asking how to take off the oil cap properly.
There is an idioproof diagram right on the stock jack I think, or at least near it in the trunk.
If you think that you can do a clutch swap, just kill yourself.
