How to install a Tru-Time Adjustable Cam Gear for a 97 civic ex SOHC Vtec?
Hi all I'm new to this forum and i like it so far.
Well here's the deal i just got this cam gear for christmas from a couple of friends, and it dident come with any instructions. So if someone could help me and tell me how they did theirs or if there was a link with online instructions or something. Also how do u truly adjust the cam gear. Its a 3-bolt if that helps. thanks for any help.

Quick run-down:
Remove valve cover
Remove upper timing cover
Release tension on timing belt
Remove timing belt from cam gear
Remove cam gear
Replace cam gear
Put timing belt back on
Tension timing belt
Replace upper timing cover and valve cover
Start car and check timing
As far as how to adjust the cam gear, make sure it at 0 when you put it on, and then take it to a dyno to adjust it. That's the only way you're probably going to get the best gains out of it.
