Parking Brake Problem
I own a 96 4d Civic LX, Gsr swap with Rear Disk brakes off a Del Sol.
Edit: Parking brakes lines are off the Del Sol also.
I'm having a problem with my Parking brake(emergency brakes) lines. First off my PB aren't holding my car on a hill no matter how i adjust the nut by the handle in the center console. I today removed both PB lines and checked them and they seem fine none frozen or broken or anything.
My second problem is that i noticed my RR wheel is locking before the LR wheel(LR wheel doesnt lock) when i use the PB. I jacked my car up and i loosened the PB nut in the center console and the LR wheel spins freely and the RR wheel is locked like someone is stepping on the brakes. The only way i was able to free the wheel was by removing the pin that holds the PB line to the Caliper.
I'm thinking the RR PB line is stretched or something. So when i pull the PB the left side is pulling first thus making the RR wheel lock first. Just would like some info and sorry if i used wrong terms for cars, still new at this . Been following lot of the write ups here to fix my car. Thanks in advance

Re: Parking Brake Problem
Bump and a little update.
So i removed the cables again and i noticed that one of my Rotors still doesnt move as freely as the other. I mean one spins a couple times on one side. Then the side thats giving me problems the Rotor barely spins. I have to literally spin it myself and it wont spin freely. Could that Hub be busted?

Re: Parking Brake Problem
Did you bleed the system grreat when you put them on. Sounds like one side was not bled as well. My e brake cable by the handbrake sits crooked and still stops both tires becuase it was bled correctly. Just giving you a thought since no one helped you out...

Re: Parking Brake Problem
Yea i rebled them today the correct way. Doing the fronts first then the back. I'm not sure it has to do with the hydraulic system i think it might just be my cables but i wont know til i get my new ones. Thanks for help though

Re: Parking Brake Problem
^ You bleed farthest away from the master cylinder to the closer to the MC. Just FYI. Meaning pass. rear, driver rear, pass front, drivers front. Yeah I dont remember the right cables for which chassis and brake but I believe it is in the FAQ.
