How do you check if your starter is getting power? My car won't start. Please Help.
Hi all.
When I try to start my car, I get absolutely no power....no clicking, cranking or anything.
I have power to everything else though...headlights, turn signals, gauge cluster, interior lights, etc.
Perhaps my starter isn't getting power? How do I check?
Thankyou very much. I need your input.

Same thing happened to me in my hatch. All it did was dim the lights and not even click or try to crank. It was dead. Took it to a mechanic and he had this one tool. Some kind of tester and there was no continuity at the starter. Got a new starter and that was it. I just wonder what the tool is.
