Most people recommend some kind of intake (cold-air or short-ram), a decent header, and a cat-back exhaust.

The cheapest way to make good power is a turbo however...the parts listed above will give you a max of 10hp, but you'll have alot of extra noise

why did you even bother posting this? if you would of searched you would have found alot more topics regarding this then youll mosty likly get in replys.. but it all depends on you budget.. you can turbo it.. then theres. exaust. header.. (notice its not header"S"" as we only have one head.. then theres complete swaps..

He probably bothered posting because he's new to the site and new to Hondas in general.

since he's got an Si, it'd probably be retarded for him to swap put the B16 at this point, unless it's ready to blow.<<Even if that happened it'd still be more worth it to build that instead of swapping in a GSR, which a lot of people seem to want to do.

it all depends on how much your willing to spend and how far you want to go if your going to go turbo or n/a

well i do know that turbo is the fastest way. i was looking into a type r camshaft and also the gears to be changed out because my brother tells me it actually boosts up the revolutions. im still researching about my car and it is quite interesting. i was looking online and just found out that "vtec" burns motor oil. how can i prevent that?

First of all, it won't really get that much faster without nitrous, or turbo. There really is no reason to waste your money on a stage two clutch, your car doesn't need it. Go with an exedy stage 1, not that expensive and will handle what you have. Just make sure you save and do it right the first time.

also just cause u change cams and cam gears, doesnt mean u get more RPM.

and as far as VTEC burning oil, u can prevent that. its just what happens. It not like it eats the oil or anything. Just a lil hear and there if your motor is in good shape.

ok so stage 1 is good enough. i checked on ebay and exedy clutch 1 runs 3 hundred. is stage 1 going to last longer or will stage 2. see the problem why im changing my clutch out is because the release from 1st to 2nd gear is lagging. like i wouldnt get a response from the clutch until its almost released.

Stage 2 is just overkill for what you have. I have I/H/E and intake manifold on mine and my stage 1 exedy works perfectly. Just remember to resurface the flywheel when you do it. And to increase your rpm range, you need to get a set of cams that are effective in that high range, then change your valve springs and retainers.

I put an ACT Xtreme PP and SS disc in my car, but I wanted something where i wouldn't have to go and buy another clutch if I upgraded anything in my engine. That and I thought that having a "heavier duty" clutch meant "slower" wear on the clutch with a basically stock set up. Seems to have worked, i put about 60k on the clutch and couldnt really tell if it wore down much when I pulled the trans off to have it rebuilt. But hey, to each his own.

You could also slip a lightweight flywheel in while you have the car apart.

cold air intake, header , exhaust and a light flywheel with a good clutch will make it "feel" and sound faster
