test pipe FTL, actually. Why use a test pipe on a mild all motor street build. If you're building a race car that's projected to put out a ton of power...I guess I could see it. As long as it was for race use only.

Breathing clean air FTW. I think being healthy is more important than the typical 2 hp gained on a I/H/E car.

I do not want to get into the advantages of using a t-pipe over a ***** cat! Because that’s not the point of this post

However I will go so far to say that your de-menial and uninformed comments about the environment and such is nothing more then bureaucratic rubbish and I will tell you why

Your valid when you talk about fresh air however if anyone including the world cares about the environment then we would be running cars on ethanol technology!

You just have to look at school buses to and diesel trucks were is the smog equipment on those I do not see anyone talking about all the carbon’s and such they spew into the environment

As I have said before smog and the whole embargo is nothing more then away to shut the tree huggers up while also giving bureaucrats another way to get our money!

Again if you or anyone really cares about the environment they should be pushing for ethanol which is clean burning and also good for the nation GDP!

However as long as OPEC and all of those oil tycoons have there hands down our pants and the pants of the world economy we will continue to be a sell out to the environment…

so.....you wont even TRY to do anything? You're telling me that SOMEONE ELSE has to give you motivation to protect the environment YOU live in? You're mad because "the man" is trying to make you clean up that environment?

Everyone's answer when the "test pipe vs. cat" argument is brought up is "well everyone else pollutes...tell them to stop polluting if you're worried about it."

You are "them". Nobody can suggest any kind of improvement if you just hand off blame to someone else. You think pollution is made up? Go start your catless car in your closed garage and stand in it then. You've probably done this a few times if you think pollution is made up.

What does beauracracy have to do with anything? The point is that everyone shares the same air. It would be nice if people didnt go out of their way to pollute.

The advantages to using a test pipe? Increased horsepower, lower combustion chamber temps, less chance of detonation. Increased boost response and recovery on turbocharged cars.

That....however..means NOTHING or close to nothing to mildly modified cars.

If it wasn't for people who cared about the environment, we wouldn't be breathing clean air, drinking clean water, and we'd be MUCH less healthy. So you're lashing out at people who have nothing to gain, but a cleaner world for EVERYONE?

ok...forget your great grand kids. What about yourself? Pollution is affecting the world right now...it will have affected it much more in 50 years. How old are you that you dont care about anyone? 15? 16? Do we even have to worry about you not running a test pipe? Do you even have your license?

As a matter fact i do have my license, as a matter of fact i've 19, as a matter of fact all i was stating what i would do, i wont flame you because you want to save the enviorment, but i'm more about power and saving myself some money with a test pipe instead of a reliable hi-flow cat

dude....if everyone had that attitude, we'd all be sick, dead, or deformed.

You realize you can live without power...but not without clean air, right?

Did you even comprehend the statement in which I gave it would appear not!

In simplistic terms I am telling YOU and everyone else A greater impact on the environment would be made if we changed from the capitalist attitude the oil companies and bureaucrats influence us with.

You talk about tuning point of view and a mildly built engine which you raise some good points then you contradict your self saying the above advantages make no real difference however in this debate it is irrelevant so back to the subject at hand namely the environment!

You make claims about me saying that the pollution is made up how blind can you be MAN I set out what needs to be done to fix this problem and still improve or keep alive our GDP!

As for the attack on my car has having no catalytic converter, which is completely preposterous! I do run smog equipments on my car because it is a federal law that dose not mean I can not exercise my democratic/constitutional right to speak out about which I believe to be hypocritical which I outlined in my first post you were so quick to deem before first reading correctly

So to conclude once again I did not say pollution or smog is made up I am suggesting the options the fellow Honda-tech guy has for his car legal or otherwise they are still options! Regardless of the environmental and moral consequences of his actions

Oh and you speak of motivation well it is the government we elect to power which is suppose to protect and serve us perhaps you should write them instead of lecturing me with out provocation
