Default High beam switch 92 civic

I have a 92 eg6 my low beams don't work but my high beams do. My high beams only work when I hold the switch. If I let go the lights go off how do I fix this??

First check your fuse box under the steering wheel and see if the two 10a fuses that read L Headlight Lowbeam and R Headlight Lowbeam are blown..??

Or, it could be your switch is dirty. There is a DIY on how to clean it. Check the FAQs.

is this the DIY you were referring to deschlong?

it doesn't have a breakdown of how to clean the actual switch...is there another guide for this?

How is the clicky action on the switch? It could be the contacts overheated and melted a bunch of plastic at the base of the switch. I've had to replace mine every 6-8 years and I'm currently on my fourth or maybe fifth switch (I lost count).
