b16 head removal tips
I'm about to start my winter build and I'm going to be pulling the head off to install some arp hardware.
I've got the helms manual however I'm just asking if there is anything left out or if anyone has and tricks or specifics to remember with the removal and install of the head.
Thanks

If you're actually pulling the head, get a top end gasket kit and replace the head gasket. If you're looking for more performance down the road, it wouldn't be a bad idea to upgrade your valve springs and retainers while the head is off.

Just make sure you follow all the removal sequences, the cam rails, and head bolts need to come off in a certain order. But it should have that in the helms.
I wouldn't just stick arp head studs and bolts in and call it good. Take it to a machine shop, and atleast get it pressure tested, and you say "build" so i'll take it you want some performance, get a 3 angle valve job, pnp, and new valve guides, and valve stem seal. But this is almost pointless if you're not gonna touch the block.
