Help PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Transmission issue or? EXPERIENCED HONDA TECHS PLEASE!!
I got into an accident a while back and I hit the passenger front wheel in my 95 civic. It would NOT move when I crash, also the car is auto.
Engine was fine after crash but I was told I needed two control arms. Well After getting it fixed the transmission shifts at high gears,
I can actually get it to 6000 rpm in first gear and it won't switch for a little.
SEEMS like it is in 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear Heven't actually hit 4th gear. Someone PLEASE help me! I have tranny fluid and its fine.
IDK what could I have messed up when the car got hit. When it does switch gears, it's not really a PULL or anything, it isn't clunky, it is kinda smooth but it switches too high and not at the right time almost anytime I put foot on gas to drive REGULAR instead of like a granny. I have to try and measure my foot to switch gears at the right time. So yea..... When I switch gears its not a heavy pull or gear switch, only thing is the pull from the speed im going at high rpm. It does switch smooth anytime I DO switch it at lower rpm, when driving like a granny lol. NO CODES EITHER THATS WHY IM HERE! gears should change around 3000-3500 rpm on my car. I can EASILY reach higher rpm now and it won't shift when it is suppose to. I am devastated I love this car. Idle is fine I haven't really seen anything not normal with idle.

Breaking your massive paragraph up into bite sized, readable paragraphs would be helpful. You will get more and better feedback as people won't just walk away refusing to read a hard to read wall of text.
What the poster above me is talking about is the cable that runs from the throttle body down to the transmission.
It needs adjustment or was damaged in the crash. It won't shift or shift properly if that cable isn't synchronized to the throttle plate.

I couldn't really see the bottom of the cable attachment to trans, but It seems about right that it got damaged AT the trans because that's exactly where my tire should have been when I hit the curve. Thank you guys I will update this post as soon as I get that checked.

Glad to know you feel this way, now I know not to bother helping someone not willing to help themselves.
This is simple grammar, we are not asking for an English major thesis.
I don't know your background nor do I care. If you have access to the internet you have access to any/every type of educational option in the world.
Go learn something and better your future.

I know more about psychology then you would ever know about your wife, I probably know more about her too. This a forum, which I am not familiar with forums and I am coming here to diagnose a problem, not be scrutinized about my writing skills. People are different, how about you stop being such a ******** all the time, Mr. Senior Forum Member.
^^^ Better???
EDIT: Saying I have the internet in that context is like saying I can travel to Mars. Please, for ONCE in your life, shut the **** up and just help.
Edit2: All I said was "SUCK IT UP" If you can't take suck it up, you need to stop trying to teach grammar classes in ******* Honda forums. If you wanted to help you wanted to, if you don't you don't, what's soooooo hard about just doing it?????? LMFAO "Not everyone is as educationally inclined with writing as you are?" I thought I was Bi polar but you got mad over something I would have laughed at. I ALSO said Thank you TWICE (I think) and you Bypassed that to attack me because you hate yourself. It's OK, I know what it feels like to be a senior Member of an Organization, you need to feel like you have some type of power.
Or you're just an old ****... One or the other lol.
EDIT3: Most mechanics do hate themselves, seems to be recurring lol.

I've dealt with guys like him on another forum I asked questions on lmfao. That can be the only problem, I'm taking it to a trans expert because I want to be sure and safe it's not the trans, even though im pretty positive it's the bottom end of the TCC because there is no grinding, no wierd sounds, no JERK when shifting it from first to second while driving like a granny, just takes longer to shift for both shift points in a gear I.E heavy acceleration or slow acceleration.
