Default HELP! O2 Sensor for '98 Civic HX is WAY Expensive! Try $475 retail!!

I need to replace my upper O2 sensor in my 1998 HX coupe (5-speed manual, totally stock). Because it's a 5-wire O2 sensor, it is ridiculously priced ($475 retail, about $360 discounted). The P/N is 36531-P2M-A01. Does anyone have a used HX O2 sensor they're willing to sell (from, say, a header installation, or an engine swap discarding the HX engine?). Any other ideas? Please help!!

Longtime multiple Honda owner,
Eric S.

Did you try aftermarket from Kragen/Autozone? I know I just bought mine for my 97 Dx for $79.

Bosch makes really good O2 sensors and they are typically very cheap.

Take it to the dealer. They are suppose to be in warranty for the HX's.

have used them three times. never any problems.
i have an o2 from them in the b-sir. been there for a year and a half. no issues.

try this: 289.99 little better than the 475 you were looking at.

Looks like $289.99 will be the best I can do, but it isn't OEM.

Regarding warranty on the HX, nothing is under warranty any more at 130K miles and 6+ years old.
Regarding DX & universal sensors for $90, the entire issue here and my point is that this is not the same sensor, it is a weird frickin' FIVE-wire sensor, and somehow that extra wire has to quadruple the price. A normal sensor will not work for my application.

Oh well (sigh), thanks for the suggestions anyway.

If you guys are interested even though this isn't the for sale forum, I have a brand new from HOnda L2H2 o2 sensor, which is the same sensor but with a little shorter harness. $210 shipped.
