Hi!
I recently bought a 1998 Civic lx and found out the power locks doesn't work. I did some research and discovered that the keyless entry and the dome light "when opening the door" system is in the stock stereo. The car has an aftermarket one. I read that to make the keyless entry work, I have to get a stock stereo. I don't really care about the keyless entry, but I do care about the power lock and dome light. I there any easy way to fix it?

Note: I don't know much about cars, so any help is welcome

Do a search. Jumping two terminals in the unplugged keyless connector restores the dome light function. Are you saying the locks don't work from the switch on the driver's door panel?

I have searched but as I noted before, I'm a complete noob. How can I do that?

Yes, the switch doesn't work.

I guess you haven't even looked in the FAQs sticky.

For the locks, check for broken wires in the door jamb connectors and blown fuses for the locks.

I have, I just didn't understand it. I'm pretty stupid and that combined with my poor english......

I'll check into the power locks thingy, I thought it had something to do with the keyless system. Thanks

I did what the sticky said. Now my dome light is on all the time in the middle position.

Dome light switch is a 3 position switch, off on and on with door open.

Actually it did work, I went back to take the pictures and I didn't know what hit me but decided to check the "sensor"(or whatever it's called) of the dome light on the door and pushed it with my hand. It turned OFF the dome light, I released it and it turned back ON. The passenger door "sensor" won't work though. I really don't know why the door is not turning OFF the light
