Help! Engine harness plug / connector identification

Help! Engine harness plug / connector identification
I have collected an enormous amount of engine harness connectors/plugs for d-series and b-series engines. To be more specific i have the
-oil pressure sending unit,
-knock sensor,
-intake air sensor,
-oxygen sensor,
-injectors 1-4,
-MAP, TPS,
-idle control motor,
-electronic speed sensor,
-fan switch, distributor,
-h20 sending unit,
-reverse lights,
-engine coolant temperature,
-vtec signal,
-vtec solenoid,
-power distribution cap.
I would appreciate any help/ advice in pointing me in the right direction to IDENTIFY all of these plugs/connectors.
I am so lost with this because the source of all these plugs/connectors was them being cut off of harnesses and all being thrown in a box.
If some one has the patience and ability to describe the dimensions/look of these along with the corresponding name/id i would appreciate it. The best for example would be the NAME (i.e. Oil pressure sending unit) and PICTURE (i.e. [browse]). I do not want to just repeat past mistakes by others by not researching properly and being lazy, i assure you i have been looking for this information and so far i have found a write-up that had a verbal description but nothing with very detailed written information along with pictures of the corresponding plug/connector.
Thank you and if anyone does know of the place i can get this information i would be happy to know of it.

Re: Help! Engine harness plug / connector identification
What you have asked is not as simple to answer as you might think... there are multiple styles of plugs for many of the sensors that you have listed, as well as changes in wire colors for these plugs. Some look similar, but have different wire colors from different chassis (Civic, Integra, Prelude, etc).
Can you be more specific as to what exactly you need and what you are trying to do ???

Re: Help! Engine harness plug / connector identification
I currently own a 96 civic with a b16a. I want to make harnesses with the supplies I have. So I am trying to get very familiar with identifying all the plugs on a d/b serious engine harness. I have two full swings of ecu plugs (obd1) and the connectors/plugs.

Hondaautomotiveparts.com.
Look up the diagrams for the plugs there. The scope of what you're asking, someone to catalog all the possible plugs for all the trims that ever came in a 92-00 Civic/Del Sol is crazy.
Since you didn't label them you're probably better off just going there and ordering the plugs new.

Re: Help! Engine harness plug / connector identification
If you really want to identify those connectors, your best bet will probably be running through the factory service manual (FSM) and checking the shape of the plug and comparing it to the wire pin out listed (as someone else mention, some of the plugs are the same shape/ color, but may be different colored/ have different wire pin outs/ have different colored wires/ etc.). You could possibly track some of them down by tracing wire colors on the wiring diagrams. You would of course be miles ahead of yourself if you have any idea what year vehicle(s) these came from.
You could also post up clear- high resolution images of each of the plugs and the wires coming out of them. Someone may be able to identify some of them easily, and you could verify them with the FSM so you would be 100% accurate. It will be no small task, but it is doable.
If you get the pictures/ descriptions posted up, I'll see if I can help you out when I have some spare time.

Re: Help! Engine harness plug / connector identification
Much respect, I cannot begin to describe the appreciation for the posts/replies. Big ups to HondaPartsHero you really made this much easier for me. Hope others can reference this to save time not having to individually look up the obd1/2a/2b plugs/connectors. I personally feel this is invaluable being that i want to learn this and get familiar with it so i can help others and be confident in harness modification/repair/creation. Thank you.

Re: Help! Engine harness plug / connector identification
Ha, I've been meaning to do it for a while except I want to have the wiring colors as well. Been trying to get my hands on a 94up GSR harness to do the shock tower pin outs as well. We'll see how that goes. I just wish I had something like this back in 99 when I was doing my first swap as I was trying to do it with a crappy Haynes manual. It got the job done but we've come so far in that time.
