Default Help with CYP Sensor... Did search but my problem is a bit different.

I did a search and most of the people having these problems were running old dizzys.

I have a 93 civic ex running a chipped p28 with a JDM b16 and ex/si wiring harness. i lengthened the vtec oil pressure and o2 sensor wires when i installed the harness but everything else fit perfectly. The distributor is also brand new only had it for about 3 weeks from distributor king. when i had my old dizzy i had no CEL at all.

My problem is that the CEL doesn't come on all the time. It comes on out of the blue. I drove it all day yesterday and nothing. Then my girlfriend drives it to work this morning and after driving it for 10 minutes she calls me saying the light came on. Could this be a wiring issue? Should I call distributor king and see what they say. If they can send me a new one or a new CYP? I'm not really sure where to check. I keep reading to check continuity at the dizzy but no specific wires. Let me know what you guys think.

thanks for the no responses... JK.

I'm sending the dizzy back to distributor king and they are supposed to send me another one. Hopefully I'll be okay after that.

Were you OK after that? I'm have a code 9 CEL and replaced the distributor and I'm still having the same CEL.
