Default help car heating problem

so heres the deal my car has been on boost for a while now and ive been running the stock fan and its fine in the city and highway. i just bought a 12" slim fan that says it flows 1550cfm. now in the city my car is fine and temps are good but once i get on the highway an cruise at about 80 for a while the temp rises an almost over heats. i drove the car earlier today to my friends shop with the stock fan on an it was good. i put the fan on there an now its doin this. any ideas of how to fix this? could the intercooler be blocking too much air? also i put the fan on the front of the radiator so you cant see it. would it be better to put it where the stock one goes? the fan is a push or pull style.

make sure the new fan is spinning the right way ... it mite not be pulling the heat away from the radiator make sure your fan is spining the same way your stock one is

well i have it set up to be pushing. the fan is tucked in the bumper. im just going to put it on the right side(the oem way) to see if its better if not idk. could i run 2 fans on it? one pushing one pulling. i have a smaller 10" radiator fan sitting in the closet. if so how should i wire it in? just splice into the stock fan plug or run a switch or something

wait hold up, why would you have your fan pushing HOT air INTO the intercooler? best way is SUCK in air torwards the engine. that may be causing your problem.

it wasnt blowing towards the intercooler. i had it blowing through the radiator towards the motor an it gets hot. i put the fan on the normal side sucking the air through the radiator blowing towards the motor as well an it still heats up when i drive on the highway. in the city its fine..
