Help: *98 Civic B18C...what is it...wrong ecu?*
Alright I have a 98 civic sedan with a 99 GSR B18C1 swap in it. I finished the swap about a month ago and when doing the swap I used my stock LX Harness and just made a vtec/knock sensor sub harness and repined the IACV. In a nutshell what it is doing is at cold starts it will start up and idle fine @ about 900 rpm. But when it warms up to operating temp it will do one of two things:
1. It will idle anywhere between 2000 and 2500 rpm's (when it does this at a stoplight, I let the clutch out a little bit with my foot on the break to bring the idle down)
2. The idle will fluctuate between 1000 and 1900 rpm's. I know that this could be caused by the IACV but why not all the time. Why does it idle at 2k sometimes?
I am running a 99 SI (b16) ECU and i was given this and told that it would work when I bought the swap. Ive noticed that (correct me if I'm wrong) all the GSR's have one o2 sensor. If i was running the 99 SI ecu on a 99 b18c engine would the car run bad. Do the b16's have 2 o2 sensors? I dnt get very good gas mileage either. About 300 a tank.
Another issue when i bought the swap was i didnt have injectors. I had a set of the d16y8 injectors and was told by a few members on H-T that they put out the same cc's of fuel as the GSR injectors do. So I am running the y8 injectors.
When the car is warmed up and i try to get on the interstate it will bog when i push the gas to accelerate. What I have recently noticed is when i push the gas pedal to the floor and hold it there it will bog for about 3 seconds and then it will stop bogging and pull. Could this be TPS related?
Sorry for all the writing! I will try to get a camera and get some video's up tommarrow to show everybody!
Any help would be great!!!

D16Y8 injectors are fine.
DO NOT RUN THE MOTOR ON THE B16 ECU! it is made for a 1.6 liter. Your car should be running weird right now. also do you still have the stock GSR manifold on it? (the ugly, wack, hard to work with, snail looking one)?
the problem does sound like your IACV though.
Bogging issue sounds like u should check your ignition timing and/or change spark plugs, wires, cap, distributor rotor. also may be a clogged catalytic converter.
good luck!

How did you wire up or use the intake air temp sensor? Do you have any check engine lights? Yes the B16A ECU looks for a secondary O2. You'll have to extend your secondary O2 wiring from the harness and place an O2 in the cat itself. How did you wire up the CKF sensor by the crank pulley?

How did you wire up the ecu if you used your original engine harness out of a 98 lx? I thought 96-98 civics were obd2a and 99-00 civics were obd2b. Did you get a jumper harness?

after i get the ecu i will try to tinker with the IACV.

Running a B16 ecu for a 1.6L makes no sense
Run either a chipped obdI ecu with jumper harness, or get a P72 ecu that was actually designed for your engine. If ecu's were all the same, honda would have done it that way, make sense?

JDM OBD-II ECU's are great. im running a P73 type-r. doesn't look for secondary O2 sensor, knock, vtec pressure or crank sensor lol.
