yeah a haynes or helms i did my headgasket in about 3 to 4 hours , its not hard at all just don't forget to mark the timing belt or your going to have to change that

As he said a haynes or helms would be of great use to you.
If you have access to air tools, definately use them. Or rent/buy a crank pulley tool. That thing is an absolute pain in the *** to get off with just a standard socket and some force.
