so it's not just a datalogging device. i see it has a sdcard reader as well intresting.... how much? also what program interfaces with it so you can edit roms, and program on the fly?

crome is pretty good for free.

Yeah I was using crome with the moates ostrich. I wanted to try something that had it "all in one" as opposed to having a hulog, ostrich and such. The user interface is a little different but after playing around with it for a while I am quite comfortable with it. <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by dem0nk1d &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">so it's not just a datalogging device. i see it has a sdcard reader as well intresting.... how much? also what program interfaces with it so you can edit roms, and program on the fly?

It uses it's own program available on the neptune site (hrtuning.com). As far as I know the on board SD card logger is not functional yet but Neptune says it's just a matter of further development that will be avail later as a free firmware download. As far as cost, it is cheaper than hondata and it is kind of nice to have it all inside the ecu with live map tracing (plus bluetooh tuneable, more of a cool factor than anything ). Also as far as support, it seems to be very well maintained and helpful (unlike some other companies I have used to tune with).

Just put it in and about to do a few pulls and start tuning. I'll keep you all posted.

Well I wen to go tune and ran into a few problems. I could not get fuels adjustment to have barely any affect on my AFR's and was completely stumped. Turns out that the QM2 Injector driver in my P72 was burned up (NOT NEPTUNES FAULT!!!!). I would like to take the time to say THANK YOU!!! to James at HRTuning for his awesome support. I have yet to find customer service and support like that of which i recieved while trying to figure out my tuning issues. His responses were quick, helpful, and friendly. If anything the customer support has made me a convert. With that said tuning will have to wait until I can get and chip another P72. Damn this is like having your dream car in a glass display. You can stare all you want but can't drive it..... Oh well, i'll keep you all posted as soon as I get my ECU.

Well everyone I must say I am impressed. When I first started playing with it I was kinda leary because i am used to the Hondata and crome user interfcaces, but after tuning with it I couldn't be more happy. You definately don't have all the cool gee-wiz stuff (i.e. 3d graphs, "smothing" of the maps) , but honestly I never used them anyways and as far as I can tell there are no bugs. All I can say is that the software/hardware works extremely well! For the price and the quality of craftmenship and service Neptune will get my thumbs up everytime!
