unbolt the nuts from the struts and install... reverse the process.. should take about 5 minutes. unless you strip the nuts like i did.

Are you talking about a strut tower bar for the front? It should be 2 bolts. Pretty self explanitory IMHO.

Front or rear? Either way, just unscrew the two bolts holding the shock on from inside the engine bay (or trunk), and put it on, and tighten the bolts back.

Unbolt.
Install.
Bolt.

If you can't do it or if you have problems like that other d00d installing a tach, sell your car and take public transportation.

Tell me about it...

Just answer the question, for God's sake.

I bet he almost felt obligated to make a smart *** remark.

He even 'explained' in his sig he accutally isn't a trial member, and how many posts he had before; like people give a ****.

Pathetic...

God damn, it's called sarcasm. Everyone get the banana out of your *** and RELAX! It's a damn joke.

To the original poster, it isn't hard at all. There is no need for fabrication (unless you need to drill, if you need to...mark your holes and drill), there is no tech involved really. Remove the strut tower bolts, adjust the strut bar (if applicable) and bolt down.

Best way to do it, jack the entire front end up, THEN install it and make sure it's tight, then drop down so all the flex will be less.

Happy?

To you, oh dumb one, when I had 2 posts everyone was calling me a n00b and people were surprised how much information I had for being a n00b. Had to clarify. If you don't give a ****, good for you, you can go back to the rock your crawled from. I didn't place it there so people can care, just for clarification.

If I loosen the bolts, will the pressure from the shocks/springs be dangerous? Should I have my car up in the air, like on a lift type of thing they have in auto shops? Sorry, my n00b-ness is tough.....

Just leave the car sitting on the ground. The shocks will be held down by the weight of the car and you'll be fine. No problems unless you don't bolt the shocks back up and decide to go jump the car . If you have any specific problems feel free to PM me.

Is there a special amount or torque I need to apply to the bolts for the installation of a front strut bar?

just make sure you line the strut car up and see what bolts that you have to undo. Its really problly the eaiest "mod" you can do

Don't loosen the nut that is threaded on the shock rod, undo the 2 beside it (if you have that style).
