German 92 hatch with d16b2 - swap or build?
I just purchased a 92 hatch that has a d16b2 Im currently in germany so I know its a euro spec car but i have no idea what to do with this motor. Should I swap it or build it up, also does anyone know any good performance shops around here. (For anyone stationed overseas)

Re: 92 hatch questions

in germany? oem parts..
i see now that you have an D series engine, thought it was B, so then i agree with jbpnoman.. swap or boost if you want a fun car

ive gotten a lot of crap on here for asking those type of questions
anyways, you should swap it I did my research and its cheaper power at $~17 per hp, whereas a turbo kit is about $100 per hp.

B16A complete swap, $2650, 61 BHP gain. $43/BHP
B18B complete swap, $2000, 38 BHP gain. $52/BHP
B18C GSR complete swap, $3200, 73 BHP gain. $43/BHP
B18C ITR complete swap, $4000, 93 BHP gain. $43/BHP
Homemade turbo kit for a D series, $1500-$2000, 100 BHP gain. $15-$20/BHP
Up to ~200 WHP, turbo D makes much more financial sense than a B swap.

So here's really what I know so far that some crx's came with this motor with the dpif i also know that there's an easy conversion to the mpif but my question is can i mix and match parts for the euro d16b2 from other d series motors or does anyone know a good company that i could order parts for this motor back from the states?

Yes, you can mix and match D series parts, with the exception of some D17 parts. The D16B2 is a 96-01 motor though, it didn't come in a CRX, and it should already be PGM-FI.
What is your head code, as well as your ECU code?

to tell you the truth i dont know the only number i can see is the d16b2, ive looked all over and cant find anything else its probably just dirty and I need to clean it to find it, but its not pgm-fi, i havent checked my ecu code yet
Just tried to go outside to look for it and its way to dark for me to see. Il check tomorrow and repost but honestly im lost with this motor i really dont even know how to approach it but the curiosity is killing me.
