Fuel pump not working

Fuel pump not working
My 93 del sol wont start, fuel pump not kicking on. Checked for power at the fuel pump, no power, went to main relay checked black yellow wire for power no power there. Now here is the problem. THe haynes repair manual tells me to check fuse number 2. When i check the fuse it checks out ok. I then stick my meter in the socket where fuse 2 used to be and i have no voltage there either. I am sure the whole fuse block has power cause other things that also use that fuse block work. Just nothing in the fuel circuit have power. Any ideas?

Re: Fuel pump not working
The main fuse under the hood labeled IG and is 50 amp checks ok. According to the schematic the electronic load detector also feeds into the circuit through junction connector C417. I dont know the physical location of either of those.

Re: Fuel pump not working
Had the same issue with my 93 del sol. I replaced everything and finally found out it was the ECU. Moisture and condensation eventually ruin the capacitors especially C14 on the ECU circuit board which controls the fuel pump. This is a real common problem at this 20 year point in the age of the component. Borrow a known good ECU and if the engine cranks right up you got your answer. Paid about $130 at a junkyard for one.

Re: Fuel pump not working
You can disconnect the battery ground cable to be safe.
The ecu is located inside the car on the passenger side foot well under the carpet just to the right of your right foot when sitting. It's held in place with a couple of 10 mm bolts in a bracket. Loosen the bolts to get the ecu free of the bracket than you have enough slack to unplug the wire bundle connections.
Just pull down the carpet from the top.
