FRONT WHEEL-BEARING

Re: FRONT WHEEL-BEARING (baddog)
To my knowledge like on most cars they need to be pressed in. Once you get the hub assembly off if you wanna do it that way, take it out and than press the new one in, not sure how you take the old ones out, lol.... anyone know that one?

you have to remove the steering knucle and hub assmebly together, then you need a hydraulic press to press out the hub and bearing.

Re: FRONT WHEEL-BEARING (2lua)
unless you have the press to do it its pretty much pointless to even try. best bet is to take the knuckle assembly to a machine shop and let them deal with it. I know this from experience, and a lot of time trying to do it myself. like i said save yourself the stress and have it done right. oh and dont forget to take a new bearing (about $25 $35) with you to the shop it saves alot of money. youll spend any where from $75 to $125 total, depending on the area and the shop.
good luck if you decide to do it yourself, youll need it

not hard if you have basic tools...pull the wheel off, pull the caliper off, pull the rotor off, d/c the tie rod, d/c the upper control arm (don't let it snap up and hurt you, hold it down and let it up slow), d/c the bottom bolt on the hub, pull the hub off the car, take it to honda, buy the bearing from parts (i think mine was like $40, not sure), bring the hub and bearing to the service window, give them $50 + tax, come back an hour later, pick up good hub, go home, reassemble...done...

Re: FRONT WHEEL-BEARING (xZeler8)
rent a hub puller/slide hammer and bearing race/seal installer tool. just pay the cost of them and get the money back when you return them. autozone has them, as far as getting the bearing out it's the hardest part, usually a air hammer with a hammer attachment is the easiest but be carefull of damaging the side wall. pressing the race back in isnt a problem at all with the tool, just a couple taps with the hammer. here is the tool http://images.auctionworks.com...g.jpg

Yea man, take that apart and bring it to a shop to get pressed in. Or you could buy a replacement used knuckle, but i probly bought about 6 and they all have severe play. Buy the bearing and bring it to the shop.
