Default Friends Honda civic is throwing code P0740

Its a 98 civic ex coupe. It has a Automatic Transmission in it.

Its a p0740
Torque Converter Clutch Circuit Malfunction

I have been Told to check the solinoids. Those were replaced. Still throws code. Swaped the transmission, It still throws the code. Do you have any other idea's? Everything seems to drive fine with the exception of the code. Is there any often occuring problems with these transmissions like this?

Whats an ECU? My understanding is that this happens only when traveling 45-55 mph and often there are no changes felt in driving. Still waiitng to hear back from mechanic how much its going to cost for my daughters to be fixed.

Maybe you didn't see but this post is years old.
You might want to wait to hear back from your mechanic.

Did you figure out what the problem was? Mine was throwing the same code and I replaced the transmission and still throwing the code. Replaced the ECU with my spare and same error.
