Exterior window trim
I searched but didn't find any real valuable information. What Im trying to do is remove the trim just below my coupes two front windows. The oem black trim is flaking off and I can see the metal chrome underneath. I wanted to remove the trim peice so I can sand off the black stuff so I can sport the chrome underneath. .. So does anyone know how to remove the exterior window trim without damaging it? ANy help will be appreciated! thanks!

i took a piece of sand paper to it by hand, left it on the car when i did mine. didn't feel like going through all the trouble of taking it off. just be careful not to cratch the car.

You have to remove the door panel to get to the clips that hold that piece on. You also have to remove the black plastic piece that goes up the side on the rear of the door to slide it out. It's not hard at all after that. You basically slide it towards the rear of the car to get it out from under the mirror, and then you just pull it up and out. Be careful to not break the clips. It's really easy once you get the door panels off and see what you're dealing with.
