Erratic bouncing tach needle
Ive got a D16Y8 with a JRSC, MSD 6 box, blaster SS external coil and Crane cap. When im around 3k rpms or so, the needle will randomly bouce around the rpm range. The setup has been on the car for a while and thsi just recently started happening. I changed plugs and wires and the new wires made it worse. It feels like its running too rich. my crappy autometer gauge AF guage looks ok.
where can I start to fix the tach problem?

Re: Erratic bouncing tach needle (CBoardman)
do a quick HT and google search... you'll find that it's probably a dizzy related issue... but start by checking over your grounds.

Trust me, go to the auto parts store and buy a rebuilt dizzy.
Long story, but been there done that. Save yourself some money now and buy a rebuilt dizzy. In the long run you'll be happy you did.
