Emergency Brake help
I just got my car inspected and the mechanic said my driver side ebrake isn't working. I never noticed this but I tested it, if I put the ebrake up, and go in reverse, the driver side "slips" for lack of a better description and the passenger side holds it.
They suggested me to repair it asap. (Why I have no idea, its an autotragic)
Anyhow he said it might need adjustment, reconnecting the cable or a new cable on that side.
So I pulled the wheel, everything "looks" fine to me, aside from it not holding. I found the adjustment on here (pull center console, adjust underneath it)
However I can't find any information on the cable itself. What exactly am I looking for to reconnect or replace as far as the cable goes? The vehicle has drums in the rear, all the drum brake parts look good to me, and work. The self adjusting part, brake cylinder, the springs, the shoes, all rather new ish. Probably got a year on them.
So where exactly is the ebrake cable in the rear brake setup?
Thanks and I apologize in advance. I am really stumped though, and can't find ANYTHING online.

Re: Emergency Brake help
drums open, it appears good to me. The shoes are fine, self adjuster is fine (or so it appears) and the ebrake cable is sitting in its little holder off the parking brake lever.
My 3 tension springs look good.
I closed down the self adjuster to 0. But the drum on. Pumped the break 5 times, went back removed the drum, and checked it. It was tight enough to give me a issue removing the drum (I inserted a 8 mm nut and it popped drum off) but it wasn't tight, tight if that makes any sense.
Maybe self adjuster needs to be replaced? I got it from advance auto so it isnt OEM.
