Header wont change the sound. Get a test pipe if you want to sound more like a ricer.

Don't waste your time unless you're going for a BOV sound

Either you're being sarcastic, or you're stupid. I spent 5 minutes trying to figure out how to be nicer about it, but there is no way.

The only way you're getting a real BOV sound is with a real BOV, and a real turbo in front of it.

Really? No ****.

He is saying don't waste your time with bolt ons since they won't net you any real power (2-3 whp from header realistically).

Boost is a good way to actually have fun with the car

Well the OP's question had nothing to do with BOV, So we think inside of the box of the topic,

You are simply a court jester for even thinking a bov is a cool part of the turbo system, cause its not, all it does it create ricer noise, create a rich condition during gear change, and make you look doi for going so off topic of the OP's original ?

if you get a decent header you'll definitely get more then 2-3 hp. not much but you will.
yes it would be louder. whoever said it wouldn't is dumb.

would i do it just for the sound? no. unless your going to continue building your motor i wouldn't waste the money.

Back to his question, it will deepen the tone a bit depending on the header yes, if that is your goal then go for it.

I have headers on my y8 with a cat back and magnaflow and it is deep as ****, maybe a little too deep.

Thats what I was thinking,
it would def change the tone/characteristics of the sound of exhaust with the addition of aftermarket header.

No need to get your panties in a bunch dude.. it's just a forum, not heart surgery. In the end it's the OP's decision on what he wants to do to his car.

When i first read it in my head i thought 'oh he wants to boost it' . I bet he wasnt trying to say get a bov because they sound cool, but get a bov when your boosting it. People on this forum **** talk way to much
