EM1 with gsr swap having tranny issues
the car is a 99 si with a obd1 b18c1, the problem is shifting gears. when the car is off i can put the car into any gear at ease, but as soon as i turn it on its a bitch to put it into first or any other gear for that matter even reverse, and when ido get it in gear the whole car starts to shake real bad. what do you guys think it could be?

the disc cant go in backwards , lol. it protrudes on one side , and is flush on the other , it only fits in the PP one way. but its definitely a clutch issue id say. the vibration your feeling is the clutch grabbing the flywheel even with the clutch in. have someone step on your clutch and hold it while you watch the fork on the tranny , see if it slowly goes back even with clutch held.

ok here is the update, i havent messed with the cluth or flywheel, but ths weekend the car was driving pretty good i could shift it into any gear even downshift when i wanted to, but after a few hours of driving around i felt the shifter kinda sink in and the sameproblems as usual started happening, so with this said could the shift linkage be the reason for the malfunction

Re: (TEXASCRX)
get under it , have a look at the linkage , have someone shift it around while your looking for play. gotta be a linkage problem.
your pressure plate cracked most likely cause whoever had it apart last , overtightened it.
