EK won't start (not the normal "car won't start" thread)
Car starts and runs when I push the car and pop the clutch. I've tried everything...fuses good, battery good, starter good, relays good, ECU good, disconnected the alarm, disconnected the VAFC, and disconnected the turbo timer. Still, nothing.
When I turn the key, nothing happens. No cranking, no clicking, just a sick power drain. Voltage drops from 14 to like 11 when the key is turned into the starting position. That makes me think its a bad starter ground. Me and some friends trouble shot for like four or five hours and I'm spent. Has anyone else had a problem like this before? Any thoughts are greatly appreciated. TIA

Re: (EGEESIX)
wow.
Does your fuel pump come on, when you turn the key to the position right before starting? I guess I would call this the running position.
Maybe your main relay went? The are notorious for the solder joints going in the hot weather.
Really, I thought it was probably the starter motor...
Or maybe the battery is dead, and you are cranking off the alternator spinning...

Fuel pump comes on. Battery is good. I swapped the starter out already, nothing. I thought about the main relay too. I'm not sure if that would cause a power drain though. I'm heading back out now to try some more stuff. Damn I'm tired of this already. Anymore ideas guys?

Re: EK won't start (Tony Starks)
check your grounds....and add a few. I had that problem a long time ago..and it happen to be bad grounding from the tranny to the chassis. Make sure the ground you have on the vavle cover to the radiator support is correct too. I see a lot of people use the little hole on the vavle instead of placing it at the spot with the valve cover "washer".
Try adding more ground wires. Good luck.

Cing is the winner! Thanks! The ground on the tranny to chassis was bad. I was pulling my hair out. Thanks bro.
