everytime i drive in rain i always get a puddle of water down by my spare tire...i dont know where the water is coming from but i see it leaking from the sides near the back shock tower

Go to a DIY carwash with a pressure washer, put a friend in the back, and start spraying while s/he looks for the leak. It's probably a hatch seal, or a clogged channel.

what do you mean clogged channel..and i read that it could possibly be a taillight gasket but i looked at them and the gaskets seem to be fine and glued on tail light good

I mean a clogged water channel. Notice how there are two black strips that run down the top of your car? When you get back to the hatch, that water has to go somewhere. It goes into channels behind the hatch.

Please check the FAQs for questions like this. There are at least 2 threads there regarding the civic trunk leaks. Most likely the problem is your tail light gaskets. They commonly go bad and cause the water to run into the car. Check the FAQ for instructions on how to make your own and replace them.

Usually if it's a puddle in the back it comes thought the rear lights especially if they've been changed or taken out

i know with integras, a common problem is the taillight gasket, so just look at all the gaskets in the trunk/hatch to see if any are in bad condition
