EG hatch- best swap for 200whp

Re: (psychotic_civic)
D-series do well under boost with the correct setup. What is a correct route I don't know but you can check D-series.org for answers.
If It were me I would go with the c1, plenty of after market for this aplictaion.

Re: EG hatch- best swap for 200whp (psychotic_civic)
go d16z6 and boost it. easy swap and pretty damn cheap. thats what im doin in my eg hatch. this will put you about the 220whp range after tune. if you want more power, go with the b18b1 and boost it. with proper tune and 8psi, you will be about 240-280whp. and the b18b1 motors have a strong bottom end able to handle good amounts of boost. both of these are good motors...but if you want vtec...hit up the d16z6 or the b18c1. b18c1 (gsr) are rather expensive so if you are on somewhat of a budget...sohc turbo all the way!! lol

I would have to disagree with this only on the price issue. you can find a fulll swap for under 1500 and if your going to do this the right way,
Find a c1 short block and and Vtec B series head and build the swap your self. This way you save your self a ton of money and you get exactly what you want.
If you can built rotory motors you'll have no problem with a honda. On top of that the only real assembly you'll be doing is putting the head on the block. Simple.

Re: (wicked_b16eg)
I fail to see how b18c/b16a cant handel boost? Just because their c/r is higher? Within reason a higher c/r will simply allow you to make the same power at lower boost, requiring a smaller turbo(to be in efficiency range) allowing for quicker spool up and more torque. What did i miss? I plan to boost my b16a and am aiming for about 280whp.
