EG Engine Coolant Temp (ECT) sensor location?
Hello everybody. I am wiring a dual fan controller to my car go mostly everything done except one,,,,I have to wire and ground my unit to the coolant temp sensor,,,Correct my if I am wrong but I do believe this is unit that looks just like the ECTS,,, and its right next to the single wire yellow/green sending unit that goes to the temp gauge on my dash?? is this right because I can't find this one in the manual,,,its got two wires red and green,,,and this last one will be really stupid lol,,,,,,,red for positive and green for ground right?????

Re: eg Engine Coolant Temp ((location question))
It's the 2-wire sensor below the distributor.
But why would you want the radiator fan controlled by the ECT sensor. This sounds like a recipe for disaster to me. Why is the fan switch located on the thermostat housing not sufficient?

well actually I have two ways,,,,first this and second I have it mounted to a custom switch under the dash,,,if this does not work then I'll just keep them on all the time manually,,,,,

some small little things im pretty sure we all know
ect sensor only uses a 5v signal sent out from the pcm, so theres no grounding or wiring directly to that circuit
like ron said, why not use the fan switch at the housing? even if you want to wire in a relay for dual fans
