EG and EK input shaft bearings - same or different?
Hey guys, I tried to do some research on this but I couldn't really find any answers, and I know little to nothing about trannys. Hopefully someone can help me out.
So first off, it's a 94 Civic Si HB, with a JDM D15b swap. Since I bought the car close to a year ago, the input shaft bearing has been making noise, and going bad. I still haven't replaced it (I know, I know) but I wanna try to tackle it once this semester ends. I did some research earlier tonight and it seems that I don't have the correct tranny for the d15b.
Currently the tranny I have is an S40 P4F-A000. From what I saw online, this tranny comes from the 96-00 DX hatchbacks. And apparently the tranny that should be in there is the P20-B000.
I was really hoping that I had the correct tranny, as the input shaft bearing I ordered from Honda many, many months ago was (probably) for the P20. My question is, is there any way to check and see if the bearing will still work in the P4A? Or would it be better to just find a P20 and replace the bearing on that one?
The part number for the bearing I ordered is 91002-PS0-013. Is there any way to see if it's compatible with other D-series trannys? Or is it better worth my time to source out the P20?

The original 94 Si transmission was an S20.
The bearings are different if you compare them at the Majestic Honda site.

I have a feeling it may still work though...
I was under the impression that these trannies were near identical besides one of them having steel shift forks while the other has aluminum shift forks? I researched this years ago when I was doing work on a CDM D16Y7 and JDM D15B VTEC...can't remember everything 100% now though.

The B000 has the bigger bearings and is what was used in the SI. The A000 is the economy transmission with smaller bearings used in the CX/DX/VX etc.
OP ordered the bearing for the B000 transmission case but has the A000 transmission case.
I hope that clarifies a bit more over what has already been said.
