EG 92-95 Climate Control Bulbs
ok..i know i am not the only one here with an eg/eh/ej blah blah..92-95 civic ..who has some faded *** climate control lights. in every eg ive been in..that **** is faded where a light has gone out.nah its not a big deal but it just looks wrong.who here has actually opened up a eg climate control (yes i read jdm fan they arent too specific)..and seen the bulbs/changed the bulbs? i figure since im replacing these bulbs might as well put amber in there or something. i plan to do the same with my si cluster. ok i know for a fact the cluster takes 6 bulbs aside from the rest that mainly illuminate the cluster and these bulbs are 74 series wedge bulbs. i went on a led specialty site and found some 74 series amber led's. before i order the bulbs i wanna know what size/number are the two EG climate control bulbs..so i can order them all at once. im hopin they are 74 series also.
thanks. peace

let me know where you are gettin these bulbs from and how much. I would love to do the same. I don't want to pay for the jdm cluster or climate control for me 1992 EG. I just want it to be amber like you guyz. Peace

no just the radio..zv has done the bulb swap on the climate control..maybe he can tell us how to access it better and change the bulbs. jdm fan says theres 3 screws..looks as if u must change at the least remove the radio.

The bulbs for a 92-95 Civic climate control are in no way the same size as the cluster bulbs. They're tiny little bulbs, I'm sorry but i don't remember the size or name. When I just recently picked up my car, all the illumination was very faded, so I went to the local auto parts store and bought all new bulbs. Just for good measure, I picked up a small jar of Tamiya clear orange paint and coated all the bulbs several times before re-installing them. After everything was all said and done, I now have an amber cluster and climate control for a grand total of $13.95. My 00 Si cd player is on it's way as well.

I have only had it on for a week now, but my buddy painted his turn signal bulb with the same paint like 2 years ago, and it's still going strong. Email me the pic of your cluster, I'd like to see it, and let me know how you did it. TIA

hey..the eg cluster bulbs are very small themselves..74 series to be exact. are u sure about this. if u are then let us what size the climate bubls r..so i can get them.
jv swore to me when he did this the eg limate and cluster is the same size.
and if the climate bulbs r different..where did u go to get them..

Re: EG 92-95 Climate Control Bulbs (JaeOne3345)
ive got both of them dissassembled right here, there are 4 in the cluster that are the same size as the 2 large ones in the heater. the lights for the buttons on the heater are a smaller size.
The picture shows the largest bulb in the cluster(with blue wrap), the one found in both the cluster and the 2 in heater, and the smallest ones that are for the heater buttons. hope this helps.

there are 3 larger bulbs around the speedo, thats the size in the blue. then there are 4 on the cluster and 2 in the heater that are the middle size.
