Does a p28 differ from a dual cam p28?

Re: ECU???
there is no dual cam p28!!!!! p28 is only for singlecam n can be use for dual cam.. most ppl tend to use p28 because of the basemap that it has and is easier to chip with.. u can use it or ur dual cam but it wont run it full potenial unless u get the ecu chip

^they use it cause thats what they have. hondata will go wherever you put it.
getting the right one is easier just usually more costly.

1) search the ecu thread for exactly what a p28 is
2) realize that any obd1 board can be chipped. this is what people use them for- chipping. and they prefer these p28 anomalies because the average honda enthusiast is just grasping the idea of chipping, let alone the realization that you can add vtec to any of the other obd1 civic boards.
