Does 92 Si power steering and A/C work on a B20vtec swap?
Hey guys, I'm sure its somewhere on the search and i tried some words and it definitely looks like it will work but i need to be sure and time is of the essence.
I am doing swap at a shop, i helped out a lot and never really have done one but yea.
I took out my stock d16z6 from my 92 Si and put in my b20 vtec (gsr head) that i had it my little fun car that was in a 92 civic cx.
So i wanted to keep my power steering and AC from my Si. The b20 is already in my Si and is working for the most part. I need to change the crank pulley from the b20 because its chipped and would not be able to hold the belt safely so i know i would have to replace that, anything better or cheaper than OEM.
As for power steering i kep the pump and all looks intact, but it looks like i just need the brackets to connect to the motor.
-Would i need to get the ones for the b20 block or the gsr head?
-Do i need anything else?
-As for AC, mechanic says i need a gsr or ls AC compressor, if that what else many i need for the AC to work?
-btw i have a kiddracing rmf replica header. Fits but hope the heat wont mess up the AC line that is almost touching it.
thanks and yes i know i could search but i tried and admit i suck and if you have any more tips about the swap please let me know. thanks

You need to use your D series AC compressor with either a CRV B20 AC bracket or the Del Sel VTEC B16 AC bracket which allows the use of a D series compressor on a B series block.
For PS, you need a B series pump and bracket. Most likely a B20 one because that is the block you are using, but I'm not sure.

so find a different used oem pulley? or maybe go with a fluidampr or some other aftermarket one? just my .02
couldn't find any on google?
and it's not gonna bolt up 100%. head uses a 2 piece bracket and of course b series pump. block uses a 1 piece bracket and a d series pump.
this post brought to you by google. man it gets old answering the same question over and over

'97 - '01 CR-V A/C bracket is cheapest, Del Sol VTEC works as well but they cost a fair bit more.
Power steering, GS-R top bracket and LS bottom I believe in your case. Keep the original D-series pump, it's the same as a '94 - '97 Integra pump.

thanks so far guys, so my mechanic had an extra pulley around so that takes care of that.
as for the brackets for the power steering, he said to get either gsr or 99-00 si brackets for it to work.
im a bit confused because some of you say i need a b series pump to work and others say my d series pump will work fine.

GS-R will definately work, I seem to recall something about the GS-R head requiring a GS-R specific bracket.
'92 - '95 D-series pumps and '94 - '97 Integra pumps are identical.

Re: Does 92 Si power steering and A/C work on a B20vtec swap?
I'm sorry I have to bring this back from the dead (kinda), but I can't seem to find an clear/solid answer.
I'm putting a B18C motor into my 92 Civic Si an would like to keep PS/AC. I will keep my D series AC compressor by using a P7J CRV bracket.
For Power Steering, I'm not so sure. the B18C motor that I have has brackets on it already and the B series PS pump as well. I would like to use my D series PS pump.
So my question is, What brackets do I need to use my D series PS pump on a B18C motor?
Will the current PS brackets on the B18C work?
