Re: delsol/lsv swap is shaking
not sure.. im not the best mechanic but i just put a brand new tranny in the other day because my case was busted and couldnt hook the t bracket up. the new one has been rebuilt with b16 1st 2nd gsr 3rd and ls 4th n 5th. isnt the diff in the tranny?

Re: delsol/lsv swap is shaking
i've seen that done. They weld about a 2 inch spacer to the bottom of the mount to reach the lower hanging manual transmission. I've seen where the lower control arm on that side has the bushing ruined. You might have to replace the LCA and then get a front end alignment.

Re: delsol/lsv swap is shaking
thanks delsolintegra ill go check the lca on that side. well it pretty much sits level. whoever did the mount did a pretty good job but this is also my 1st DOHC.so im still learning. ill go look at how it sits. but would that cause shaking?

Re: delsol/lsv swap is shaking
Also have a good look @ midshaft bushing/bearing(bolts to back of block w/3 bolts). When these are bad feels similar to unbalanced wheel. If the engine doesn't sit level, yes, this can cause a few gremlins to say the least. The front to rear angle being off throws off the shift linkage- ie:bad rear mount. I've seen them pop out of gear from bad rear mount.

well the rear and driver mounts are both fairly new yonaka mounts. the tranny mount is the rigged up one that was on there when i got it. i ordered an ebay one to hold me until i get some more money

Re: delsol/lsv swap is shaking
Sorry dude I guess it was confusing, but yes the "mid shaft, half shaft, intermediate shaft" if the bushing is bad, feels like unbalanced wheel. If engine is not level side to side, can cause bad vibrations and premature inner c/v joint wear, axle popping out. How "rigged" is the trans mount? Sounding like trans mount by description.

Re: delsol/lsv swap is shaking
they took the auto mount and welded some metal and cut it to where the tranny sits lower. honestly it looks like that did a halfway decent job. heres what happened. i got the car. not too long ago i found out that the trans case was broke in the back. ive always heard the t bracket chattering but thought it was just the exhaust or something loose. finally went and got the exhaust welded and flex pipe added and still chatter from the back. so i checked it out and seen it had been broke. i looked at it and didnt see the bottom one broke as well only the top. a buddy of mine who has been into hondas alot longer than me told me to order the 99-00 si bracket because my tranny was a b16. so we switched out the bracket and before we did this the car was fine. except of course the shaking when i let off the throttle etc. because of the rear mount not being connected. after we switched out the brackets found out the bottom hole was also torn so we just kept the si bracket in there. we also replaced the driver side mount with the yonaka mount.. what im thinking is that we broke something while we was shifting the motor alot to change both of them. i put the original mount back in on the driver side and it still shook. just got a new rebuilt tranny so i can connect the rear mount and everythings connected now and its still shaking. not nearly as bad though.
short and sweet.. im thinking we had to break something while we was moving the motor around to get everything to line up because it was fine before. also i put the eg gsr bracket back on and got rid of the si. .. whew lol.. any help would be welcome.

Re: delsol/lsv swap is shaking
Possible one of inner/outer c/v joints got screwed in the process along with half shaft bushing. I've had a bad carrier bearing(completely sheared off) in my diff before which can also cause bad vibrations in the drivetrain. So ya its prob drivetrain related.

Re: delsol/lsv swap is shaking
Im not a fan of the welded motor mount idear.... put that conversion mount onm and see if it helps at all. My motor was snapping axles and thumping and shaking while driving until I put on my conversion mount from hasport (great company btw)

Re: delsol/lsv swap is shaking
Our cars cant be driven without the proper engine position without causing failure to your car or unsafe situation

Re: delsol/lsv swap is shaking
The rack is most likely leaking or messy from inner c/v grease spinning out of the c/v boot. Drivetrain is any parts btween engine and wheels to transfer energy of flywheel/clutch into wheel rotation. Trans, axles, hubs etc.
