lol ok lemme rephrase this so its understood better, im asking if i can cut through it so the whole cover is not off, i want some sort of guard on it

why there wouldnt be any repercussions to keeping it coverless? i dont want anything to get damaged

Sure, you can drill through it just like I did.

The onyl reprocussion is the timing belt/cam gear is exposed, leaving the chance for it to get damaged. But, have you heard of this happening to anybody?

ITR wrinkle red paint will be here today..Not too good of a day to pait, but I've got no choice.

More pics to come.

i painted right over my letters then took one of those sticks from home depot for mixing paint and wrapped fine grit sand paper around it 320 grit then 400 and it came out great looked polished almost but i used the stick so that i was flat on top of all the letters and not chewing down the corners like i have seen on some. anothe way is to mask it off and use something plastic like sharpie or pen cap and use the sharp edge of the letters and rub through the tape or cutting it with the sharp edge.

i did my ls rims the same way masked off the lip and ran around the sharp edge of the lip where it meets the spokes to cut the tape now i hav teal ls mesh rims with the silver lip

This is an Integra I picked up earlier this year where I sanded down the original finish a bit, sprayed it with wrinkle paint heavily a couple times, and used a heat gun after each coat. Once dry a day later, I cleaned the letters with a razor blade
