Diy: Grip tape pedals.
How to make grip tape pedals.
Go to your local hardware store and buy a piece of 4in wide by 12in long grip tape, this stuff is used for steps to make them skid resistant so the guy at the counter might not know what your talking about. If you go to a skate shop they probably wont sell you the amount you need so if your cool with the guy at the shop ask him to save you extra pieces. This is what it should look like.
Slip off the old rubber pieces of your pedals. You will end up with something like this more of less worn out.
Trace the shape of the rubber piece onto the piece of grip tape. Its gonna look like this.
Cut the pieces out and your gonna end up with something like this.
Go to your car and clean off the pedals, make sure they aren't wet or anything.
Should look like this.
Apply the tape to the pedals and make necessary trimming to get it to fit perfectly.
your gonna end up with something like this. (not trimmed yet)
Enjoy the new grip on your pedals. -ejoner.

Its not that, i dont think it will stay sticky to it. If you put it to the metal it will stick with no problems.

Nope it wont get ruined, At least the hardware store stuff wont because its specifically made for that. Thats one of the reasons I put them on there I hate slippery pedals when I first get in.

That is genius haha! I have MOMO racing pedals, if I put them on there would it damage the pedals? How does removal go?

Feels good you can actually use the very angle and tip of your shoe to clutch now so you can leave the rest of your foot on the dead pedal. Heel toeing is easier also because your toe has more grip and stays on the brake pedal.

I have been doing that to all my cars for years. I did this to my eh 2 years ago and the tape hasn't worn off yet. Just make sure to clean the bare medal really well.

Re: Diy: Grip tape pedals. (MurdersV8s)
I really doubt its going to ware off and if it does its gonna take at least a few years. 3m stuff is good ish. Yeah I haven't had time to clean the edges up. Your going to have to clean it off with goo gone or brake cleaner to take the adhesive off if you wanna remove them. Nope hasn't messed up my shoes.
