DIY: EG/EJ sideskirt removal
So, my first write up on something that I know a few people have asked about in the past. Removing the sideskirts from an eg or an ej is pretty simple. So, here goes...
What you`ll need:
Phillips head screw driver
A bit of time
Before you remove the skirt, you have to remove the mudflap, if applicable. (If you have the flaps, there will be four screws that you have to remove).
After that, on the underside of the skirt, there will be 7 or 8 what I call ufo clips that must be removed. As you can see, all you need to use is a phillips head screw driver to remove them. Unscrew them and they should pop out.
After they are removed, all you have to do is slide the skirt foward. It will take a little time, but it will come off. Here is what is should look like after you get it off. If you break one, don`t freak out, the skirt will stay put. But if you do happen to break a clip, the part number is: 91513-SM4-000-Honda #35, from Honda Parts Unlimited.
And that`s pretty much it. Installation is the same as removal.
The one thing that I found that made it easy to put the clips onto te skirt itself before you put it back on. Than all you have to do is push the skirt onto the car.
