Distributor problems...
So I am just completeing my swap and I tried to start it today. It turned over but thats about it, so I sat there for a few seconds with the just the ignition on and all of the sudden I hear this slight tick tick tick tick noise coming from my distributor. I turned the car off and it stopped so I took out one of the spark plugs to check if I had spark and it did but when I stopped cranking the noise started again and an extreme spark was jumping from the plug loudly. I quickly turned off the ignition and it stopped. What could this be? The distributor is probably bad but why would it keep sparking a few seconds after cranking it?

Re: Distributor problems... (ghettoSi)
as simple as it sounds... its probably just the battery.. when they dont have enough power to turn the engine over they will tick..
