Differences between the 96-00 Civic LX and EX cluster?
As stated in title. I thought LX cluster gauge faces are white, but am I wrong? Any other differences? My plan is to install an LX or EX cluster into my stock 97 Civic DX.

I actually prefer the black faced gauges but a couple of years ago, I was considering buying a 99 (I think?) Civic LX that definitely had white faced gauges.

I can tell you in Canada, we never got a white face option in any model 96-00 civic. Also, our LX and EX civic were pretty much the same, including the engine, so they share the exact same cluster here.
The US is lucky! You have the nice upgraded EX that could be had with ABS, a vtec sohc engine, and power sunroof. Canada never got any sedan with with a vtec engine or power sunroof. I think the reason for this was because we got the upgraded Acura 1.6EL instead that carried those features

the cars with a white faced gauge are actually an aftermarket add-on, never came stock.. You just slip on those faces onto the gauges and they're suppose to glow with some sort of power controller. I know because my car came with them and I promptly removed them.
