Del Sol Squeaky Targa Top
I have a 95 Del Sol S.
The Targa top on my car is very sqeaky, however it does not leak at all.
Anyone with a Sol know how to eliminate the squeakyness?

Ignoring the not-very-helpful advice above, you need to lube your seals. Honda sells a silicon lubricant that you should use about 4 times a year or so. Squeaking will go away very quickly and it makes the seals last longer.

Taking care of the seals is a MUST in a sol. If you have altered the suspension in any way this "problem" will only be worse. As long as you look after them and do the recommended procedures (and sometimes more) you shouldn't have any problems. Also, it's not a bad idea to tighten the top every now and then.

jdmsol: How do you tighten the top?
I searched and found many threads on leaky tops, but nothing on how to tighten them.

Remove the top. Place in trunk...you will not be working on this.
Remove the sunvisors.
Remove interior light.
Remove rear center piece under rear window.
Remove rear speaker grills.
Remove A frame plastic pieces.
Remove plastic pieces that sunvisors mount to and rear piece that light is mounted on.
You will see the bolts that hold the lock for the top mounted at all four corners.
I believe there are three bolts at each corner...should be 10mm
Tighten and reinstall all pieces in reverse order.
I've got very detailed instructions on how to do this, but this should get you through it fairly easily. Do it once and you'll see exactly what I'm talking about. This will fix your noisy top...I assure you of it. I try to do mine at least 3 times a year. ENJOY!

Yup, all good stuff there...........
In addition, I have found that some rattles are caused by the latch mechanism in the top itself, and you need to make sure that the roof "pins" have no movement in their sleeves......
I'll look at the Helms tonight or tomorrow to see if there's more specific detail...
