Default ek4 b16a2 with chipped p06

Hi

does it matter if the car is cold or hot when the ecu is installed?
i installed mine and the car was hot and i got a cel and a no vtec.
i just plugged the p2t back in and every thing was fine.

should i install it back when the car has been sitting for 6-8 hours or is it ok to installed after a 2 hour drive?

Remove and install the ECU only after disconnecting the battery.

i did that, i disconnected the battery and then installed the ecu.

should every thing work straight away or does the ecu need a time to read out of sensors and stuff so the vtec works?

i bought the p06 with a b16a2 basemap and with vtec. launch control @ 3800rpm every thing works exept the vtec. i didn't have the ecu in longer than 15min b/c of the vtec issue. should i install it with the car cold and just try it

It makes absolutely no difference if the car is hot or cold. If you're getting a CEL for vtec is possible that whoever did the vtec conversion on the ECU did it wrong, or never converted it at all and just socketed and chipped it.

The question I have is what does it work with the P2T which also looks for a vtec pressure switch?

Yes. I'll check after but I think you're missing IC13 on your ECU I mean it's definitely not there, but I *think* you need it. I'll check the converted P06 I have in the garage later today and confirm.
