what about timing marks? thats the real reason im wondering. i know the Y's have differant timing then the Z6 and D15's but not sure if thats in the head or on in the actual pulley markings.

think of it like a mountain bike you change the gears you change the speed and it will take about 1.5 second after starting before valve clash count teeth get down to the nitty gritty you also have to realize that honda made those pullys and cam gears that size to take into consideration for things like the water pump and tensioner. so even changing both cam gear and pully may be bad.

Since the z6 and y7 have different base timing and the manual says the red line on the pulley represents base timing (for both engines), I'm going to say they're marked differently.
