Icon6 D16Y8 to JDM D15B complete swap!!!!

Hey i have a 98 Civic EX with a D16Y8 with auto tranny and it took a **** on me. I want to swap everything out for a D15B VTECH with a 5 speed manual tranny. Im still a student in so i dont have the money for a full B18 swap and a new or different car is not an option right now. I can get the engine, transmission, clutch, flywheel, starter, and ECU for 1000 bucks and can do all the work myself. Will this be a easy bolt in swap? both engines look the exact same. Will i be able to use the original wiring harness or is it gonna have to be modified or even need a new one? and besides needing a manual shifter, shift linkage, master clutch cylinder, slave cylinder, and pedal assembly what else will i need?? and if im getting the ECU am i gonna run into any wiring problems?? Sorry for all the questions i just want all the answers possible before jumping into this project. Thanx for any help.

you're going to need to read an auto to manual conversion write up. it is easiest to swap over your y8 mani with injectors, alt and dist, and run the motor obd-2. the answers to every question you have are in the faq section
