Default D16Y8 Intake Manifold Swap onto a Y7

We just did this swap and came into some complications

the car is a 99 cx auto
the im is a 99 ex auto
the tb is stock cx one with the ex throttle pulley on it
spare tb is a ex 5 spd.

i have a question
we just put in the ex intake manifold on my car
everything's in, all hoses are fine, all sensor's connected
cx fuel rail and injectors
but when we start it up it idles up and down

we check the codes and it came out to be the map sensor
we switch the map sensor from the ex tb and still got the same problems

anyone knows what's wrong? could it be the tps sensor?

BTW that's a code#3...idle at 2800-3000rpm first and then keep up and down before resetting the ECU. And then about 2300-2600rpm idle during start up and goes up and down after...

Any help would be appreciated.

y7 iac is on the t/b try switching back to it. y8 auto has iac on the t/b except the t/b u have is from an ex manual which has the iac on the manifold so go back to your y7 t/b and try it out. to me it sounds like u are having issues with the iac.

when we did the mani swap to my friends DX (www.makuragi.s5.com/civic_99), we kept the Y7 TB to avioid IAC complications. When we first startedit we had the same issue you have with the idle jumping up and down, but after doing alot of rechecking and tightining the IM bolts, we found that we left a vacuum port open on the drivers side back of the IM (cruse ctrl. port). Capped it and the car idles like a champ now. I odn't know how you did it, but we rerouted the coolant lines to the TB so it doesn't enter the TB anymore, this makes the car idle a little high when still cold, but once warmed up it acts 100% normal.

thanks guys
I believe it maybe that cruise control port that's causing a vacuum leak, we just taped it up, we'll see what happens after we cap it
