every honda engine i know of is an interference engine... theres no way you can tell if you will destroy your motor if your timing belt breaks... its just chance... sometimes you get lucky, sometimes you dont

you sir are wrong... a non interference motor is one where the valves and pistons are unable to come in contact with each other

Explain how my aem cam gear slipped on a 11:1 compression mini me and I didnt bend a valve.
My pals T belt snapped on the highway, not a bent valve.

Hmm.

Slip the belt off, TDC cyl #1, and spin the cam... It's conveivable that the cam could come to rest w/o any valves at full lift. Not only does it spin half speed of the crank, but theres not much rotating mass & good amount of opposition to rotation.

i was under the assumption that anything with a timing belt was an interference engine while anything with a timing chain, is non-interference. someone correct me if i'm, which i'm probably am lol

Haha I wish I had boosted the 11:1 vtec motor.
But a bad headgasket hydrolocked the motor, destroyed the head and block.

I ran 13.7 on a 10.1:1 non vtec 1.5

Explain to me how my wife broke the timing belt in her 94 GSR and didn't bend a single valve? Had the head checked and all. You cannot tell me that isn't an interfearance engine. Do me a favor, call honda and run your little "theroy" past them, see what they say. I can gaurantee you that engine *IS* an interfearance engine.

You my friend. Get mad way too easily.

I am saying this because of all the different occassions its happened on. And no ill effects.

Not just 1. Or just 1 of my own.

I can be wrong. It is possible. I am human. Relax.

Just as long as you know that you were wrong. It is in fact an interference engine.
