d16y7 d16y8 minime vtec knock sensor code 23 problems!!
I have a 1997 dx hatch with a 1999 ex head, currently i am running the ex wiring harness with the 2 step iacv, vtec pressure, vtec solenoid wired in. The only codes im throwing are 23 and 91 (knock sensor and fuel tank pressure sensor) i cant seem to wire the knock sensor, i even threaded the sensor into the block and ran a wire from the 1 wire knock sensor to the respective pin on the obd2 ecu (1997 ecu). My question is, is there ANY way i can wire the knock sensor in. some people say to use coaxial or insulated wire, but they dont even know if it works, my other question is would you happen to know if i do an obd2a->obd1 jumper harness with a 92-95 civic ex ecu (p28) will it get rid of the knock and fuel tank pressure codes? thanks a bunch!

make sure you pinned it into the ecu properly, open the harness plugs up and stick it in that way, orrr use a different/chipped ecu.

as far as "pinning the ecu" i have spare pins laying around but when i push them into the back of the obd2 harness, they dont want to go in, they go half way in then stop, is there a trick to pinning it?
